Project Overview
LFF is a two weekend long theater festival in Livingston, MT. During this week 10-15 performances will take place. They will be housed in traditional and nontraditional spaces, for example bookstores, bars, storefronts, lobbies, etc.
Our festival follows the tradition of the Fringe, originating in Edinburgh in 1947. Meaning we will focus on original works by up-and-coming creatives. In the spirit of Fringe, the artists tell us what to put on. This is space to let your creativity run wild (fun!). We are interested in all performance based pieces. This can include plays, musicals, one person shows, cabarets, monologues, puppetry, movement, one-man-bands and anything you can think of.
Due to finite resources we are unable to accept all submissions.

Script / Pitch
Please submit a script and/or a pitch of the show you are proposing.
What if I don’t have a script?
-
If you do not have a script because it is currently in development, that’s okay! Just submit a pitch and we will plan “check-ins” to ensure timely completion of your writing. Your completed script will be due by August 3rd
-
If you do not have a script because you’re submitting a devised piece, also okay! Just submit a pitch focusing on your process. If accepted, a due date will be negotiated with the artist.
-
What should be in my pitch?
-
What kind of piece are you hoping to make?
-
Why do you want to make it?
-
What will the evening look like and feel like to the audience? Pitch deck, lookbook, or visual references encouraged.
-
How will you approach making this piece?
**You are not bound to these questions. They are just a jumping off point if needed**
Keep In Mind
Tech is very limited. In the meantime, encourage you to plan your piece around your own resources. For example, if you have the ability to build a fabulous set that can be loaded in and out in an afternoon, hell yeah! We would love that! Unfortunately, we cannot build that for you at this time.
A detailed list of what the festival does provide will be sent with acceptance letters. Please reach out with any and all questions!
